Feature and Follow Friday 1.11.13

featured-blog

The Feature and Follow is hosted by TWO hosts, Parajunkee of Parajunkee’s View and Alison of Alison Can Read. Each host will have their own Feature Blog and this way it’ll allow us to show off more new blogs!

This week’s features are ME and The Haunting of Orchid Forsythia

Thanks so much for allowing me to be featured this week!

Q:  If you could choose one supernatural being/creature to really exists what would it be and why? ex. fae { submitted by @SeeingNight }

I have always wished witches existed. I have always wanted to be a witch. Witches with power to move things with their minds and cast spells. Witches like the Charmed ones. Or like the covens from The Iron Druid Chronicles or pretty much any witch folklore out there that doesn’t portray them simply as evil, petty women.

I will be the first to admit that some of that wish is because I want power. But that’s not the only reason – it would be amazing to have the ability to help people with super powers. C’mon, who wouldn’t want that?

The things I would do to be a witch! From the days of Sabrina the teenage witch I had secretly hoped that when I turned 16 I would be told that I had powers. And then Harry Potter came along and I just wept that I was a muggle and too old to be sent an owl invitation to Hogwarts. Gosh but how cool it would be! Maybe i’m a VERY late bloomer ;)

Witches are a great choice, and you’re right, it would be way cool to actual be a witch and have some of their powers. But then the question becomes — which witchcraft power would be the coolest to have? Premonitions? The ability to communicate with the dead? Healing? Hmmm, I’ll have to think about that.

Congratulations for being one of the Featured Bloggers of Feature & Follow Friday (FFF). I thoroughly enjoyed reading your FFF interview. It’s surreal to meet your favourite Author.

I loved Rachel Vincent’s Soul Screamer Series, yet to finish it though. Read up to “If I die” she’s a fantastic Author and looking forward to checking out her other series and anthologies.

I too picked Witches in this week’s FFF question/topic, check out my reasoning…my FFF post.

I would choose mermaids because I just finished Madly and in that book they are peaceful creatures who love humans. Plus, they are usually beautiful and can live on land and under the ocean. How great is that?

There are sooo many awesome witchy books! I love’em too. Just takes my back to Harry Potter. I would love to be a witch just so that I could fly around on a broom, and cast really cool spells. Oooh that reminds me of Beautiful Creatures too! Ahh witches would be great!

Considering my love of Harry Potter, why didn’t I think of witches?! It would be cool if I had witchy powers. But, I don’t know how I’d feel if I were non-magical being who was easily controlled by a witch’s power. That would be kind of scary, actually.
